The hardest part about losing weight is not necessarily knowing what to do. Sure if you don't know the right way to lose weight you'll never get rid of it. But most people DO know what to do, they just lack the will to do it. Here's 2 tips to help you stay motivated and finally burn off those extra pounds.

Tip #1 - Do What You Love

If you think that running on a treadmill for an hour everyday is going to help you lose weight, then you're going to have trouble. Not only because treadmills aren't very good for weight loss, but also because it's so dang boring.

Instead you should find some intense activities that you love doing but still get your heart rate up there and make you tired. Look into sports, sprints, weight lifting, hiking, there are a lot of ways to get a really good fat-burning exercise without slogging away on the treadmill.

Tip #2 - Track Your Progress

The only way to know if you're making any progress is to keep a record of how you're doing. Record your weight every day at the same time then average it out over the week to see what your average weight for that week was. Try to make slow progress, maybe a pound or two a week.

You can also record the measurements of key points on your body like your thighs, arms, and waist. Just be warned, if you're doing intense exercises that cause you to build muscle (which is good) it will seem like you're losing less weight than you are because muscle weighs more than fat.
